Looking for ideas? Take a look at some of the things we've discovered from around the globe
We knew we needed a screen to block out the neighbour's new rear 10 feet tall extension, how we were going to do it came later which resulted in two new orders! First, we bought another 3 of 2mx11-13cm Guadua, we had one left from our first purchase for the pergola. They came via Moobba's own delivery which is very reasonably priced considering what it would cost in petrol to collect (they wouldn't fit in a sports car!). These have gorgeous dark mottling, very jungly! We bought more 3.2mm wall aluminium tube for the 'legs' measured to the first bamboo node plus at least 16" to concrete into the ground. That went well, next we attached a 4mx1m split bamboo screen but it needed support from the bottom. A pack of 5 Apus 1.5m lengths, 4-6mm finished the job, Using nearly 3 lengths for the back supports left enough to fill in between the vertical poles which we placed 85cm apart between centres for the three in a straight row. The angled section took one 1.5m length. Luckily, the three in a row verticals took exactly half of 1.5m each. Job done, on a wing and a prayer! We used M6 stainless steel 120mm bolts with 20mm threaded ends complete with nyloc nuts and washers to join front and back sections providing a tight groove to support the screening, 8mm threaded bar to attach to the 2m verticals. We are thrilled with the results, thanks to Moobba!
Quick delivery and as described
Bought 5 x 3 metre lengths of 7-9cm, 4 for front and back cross bars of pergola. Remaining length cut into 4 x 75cm lengths used as angled corner supports. Also bought 3 packs of 3, 6-8cm 2 metre lengths for top side cross bars, roof bars & side angle supports (1 cut into 4 x 50cm) to make a 3x2 metre pergola fitted over our newly laid patio, Love the mottling on 3 metre lengths. Used 8mm stainless steel threaded bar to join with ss nylock nuts and washers.
Bought pack of 5, 4 for pergola legs. Will use other one to attach a wind break-privacy screen. Used tubing inserted to a node with 200cm extending for 'legs'.
My second order garden is Just perfect.
